A World Without Heros or Saints

August Comte came up with the idea of an “Occidental Republic,” meaning a western universal humanitarianism that would end war and triumph over politics.  This trend appeals to sympathy but it never works out in fact.  Daniel J. Mahoney has written about this philosophy at AmericanGreatness.com in an article “A World Without Heros or Saints.”  It can be found at https://amgreatness.com/2019/01/26/a-world-without-heroes-or-saints/
