Blacksmith shows why kerosene at 1500 degrees F weakens structural steel even if that steel doesn’t melt until 2300 degrees or 2700 degrees.  Conclusion: a kerosene fire is intense enough to bring down the two buildings by weakening structural steel:

Oh.  And bringing down the twin towers of the World Trade Center set fire to WTC 7, across the street, which was evacuated so that no one died in the collapse of the building, because no one was still in the building.
