Help Stricken Driver
The owner of the Jeep, Christopher Sanders, recalls that he blacked out driving home from work in the west Georgia city of Columbus. His Jeep was weaving through fast-moving parkway traffic when a rescuer, Michael Perry, appeared.
Perry parked his own vehicle and ran to catch Sanders’ Jeep.
Sanders, 27, began having seizures ten years ago, though he had never had one while driving. The cause of these seizures has not been established, but Sanders says he was shot in the neck during a robbery years ago, which may have started the seizures.
Sanders said Perry banged up his own leg since it got caught between the Jeep and the guardrail, but either man suffered a serious injury.
