The Salt Lake City Tribune reports that Ted, a toy poodle in West Jordan, Utah, was seen by paramedics in a burning house early Friday.
When they tried to catch the dog to bring it outside, Ted headed downstairs instead into the basement. The little poodle waited until the rescurers caught up, then led them to a 19-year old young man who was sleeping on a couch in the basement.
Authorities report that the man was treated for smoke inhalation. The dog was not injured. A woman and two cihldren had already escaped the fire, apparently caused by a gas leak.
